A Reference Built Differently
The Earth’s Pharmacy does not grade an entire plant as simply “proven” or “unproven.” It evaluates specific claims. A single botanical may have strong human evidence for one use, promising but incomplete evidence for another, and a documented traditional use for a third.
Research-Supported
Meaningful human evidence directly relevant to the stated use.
Promising
A credible signal exists, but evidence remains incomplete, inconsistent, indirect, preparation-specific, early, or substantially preclinical.
Traditional Use
Documented historical or ethnomedical use where adequate clinical evidence for that specific therapeutic claim has not been established.
Safety is evaluated separately from efficacy.

Meaningful corrections belong in the version record rather than being silently erased.
